Property Vista Product Updates - December 2023

Welcome to our Product Updates communication for December - from new features and enhancements to bug fixes.

New Features

  •  For Yardi-enabled PMCs, we've enhanced the visibility of the "Reserved Until" date in Yardi within CRM. This improvement is aimed at reducing confusion regarding feature availability, providing users with clearer information on reservation status of a feature.
  • We've enhanced user experience by organizing report menu items alphabetically. This improvement streamlines navigation, making it easier for users to locate and access reports efficiently.

Improvements

  • For Yardi-integrated PMCs, we’ve improved AR Code Mapping in Multi-yardi setup. In this update, we've addressed challenges in the AR settings related to the mapping of PV AR codes, Yardi Charge codes, and Yardi IDs. While the translation from Yardi to PV worked seamlessly, the reverse process encountered difficulties in automatically assigning the correct Yardi code to PV AR codes, especially in multi-Yardi setups.
To resolve this, we’ve implemented several key improvements:
  • The system now consistently operates in multiple-Yardi mode, enhancing overall performance.
  • Mapping validation is systematically set to "Yes" to ensure accurate code assignments.
  • The system now allows for the assignment of a default Yardi code. This update streamlines the automatic selection of the correct Yardi code for the PV to Yardi translation.
  • Default Yardi code assignment per AR code and Yardi ID has been streamlined, automatically dictating the Yardi code for specific billable items.
  • Automatic assignment is now seamlessly implemented when there is only one Yardi ID for an AR code, eliminating the need for manual input.

These improvements are specific to Yardi mode and apply uniformly across both single Yardi and multiple Yardi configurations.Notifications are triggered for critical changes, such as the removal of default Yardi charge codes, ensuring proactive measures to prevent lease application and autopay failures. Users are alerted to any configuration changes, prompting a thorough review of AR Settings.
These updates enhance the accuracy of mapping between PV AR codes and Yardi charge codes, minimizing errors and improving the reliability of the translation process, particularly in complex multi-Yardi setups.

PV Accounting

New Features

  • Users who have their Property Vista integrated with Yardi, will now be able to make use of a new Yardi Sync Modes policy. The policy will allow users to incrementally integrate properties with Yardi as they choose to, instead of all at once, as per current settings. Users will also be able to select which transactions they want to sync with Yardi from Expenses, Expense Payments and Purchase Orders.

Improvements

  • We have fixed an issue where the system throws an error when removing a building from a Management Fee policy. Users will no longer get an error and will be able to save the changes when updating the Management Fee Policy.

PV Web Experience

New Features

  •  Update to “Tenant Signature” fields to align placement on mobile application and CRM Inspection Report.
  • Enhancement to Vista Websites to add “External UID” details to website data at time of new site creation
  • Enhancement to Tenant Portal Maintenance Request workflow to modify menu selectors from a ‘column/lister’ view to drop-down menus in order to align with mobile applications.
  • Enhancement to create a new “Documents” section in the MyVista Tenant Application to align with this capability in the Tenant Portal.
  • Update to Lister table in Vista CRM “Associated Floor Plans” workflow to hide deleted floor plans from end-user view.

Improvements

  • Enhancement to hide the ‘Inspection Type’ drop-down menu if only one option is available in the “Create Inspection” workflow.
  • Enhancement to implement a background upload so that the Inspector app image upload process continues in the case the app is minimised and an API timeout so the app marks an individual image as failed if it does not receive a response in a timely manner and moves on to the next image in queue.
  • Fix to MyVista Tenant Portal “Documents” Section to only include signed Lease Agreements stored as PDF files in the Vista CRM.
  • Fix to apply CRM Income Documentation settings to Tenant Portal as defined in the CRM policy.
