Creating, Editing, and Deleting Routes

As part of the new phone service structure, you will have the ability to create, edit, and delete Routes.

Note: Users who previously had access to update tracking numbers from the old phone service structure will have access to this feature.

If additional user group needs to have access to this feature, please inform the Support Team by submitting a Support Ticket at support.propertyvista.com as additional permission is required to be enabled.

What is a Route? A Route is the call flow that refers to the path phone calls take from their origin to their destination.

Below are the step-by-step procedures on how to create, edit, and delete Routes:

Note: At least one of the following should be existing or configured:

External Transfer – if there is no existing external transfer, follow the steps in Creating External Transfers.

Auto Attendant - if there is no existing auto attendant, follow the steps in Creating Auto Attendants.

Ring Group - if there is no existing ring group, follow the steps in Creating Ring Groups.

 

Creating Route

1. From Lead Managing’s Dashboard page, click on Settings

2. Click Start Managing under Tracking Numbers


3. Click the Routes tab

4. From the Routes tab, click Add New Route Configuration

5. Fill in the following fields:

      • Route Name (must always be unique)
      • Call Type (Day)
      • Target (Day)
      • Call Type (Night)
      • Target (Night)
      • Greeting Type
      • Optional: Select Greeting or Greeting Text

6. Proceed to fill out the Route Schedule

Note: When the Route is assigned, the Route Schedule will follow the building’s time zone.

7. Click Submit to Create Route

 

Editing Route

1. From the Routes tab, click the Edit button on the row of the Route you wish to update

2. Update the necessary fields:

      • Route Name (must always be unique)
      • Call Type (Day)
      • Target (Day)
      • Call Type (Night)
      • Target (Night)
      • Greeting Type
      • Optional: Select Greeting or Greeting Text

3. Proceed to fill out the Route Schedule.

Note: When the Route is assigned, the Route Schedule will follow the building’s time zone.

4. Click Submit to Update the Route

 

Deleting Route

1. From the Routes tab, click the Delete button on the row of the Route you wish to update

2. A prompt will appear confirming if you are sure to delete the Route, click OK

3. Deleted Route will be removed from the list
