Inspection Policies

Here you can configure the policy settings behind Inspections.

Go to ADMINISTRATION -> POLICIES -> MAINTENANCE & INSPECTION -> INSPECTION POLICIES

You will see that there are quite a few policy options here. For our example, we will be using the Repairs and Maintenance policy template. This section covers :

- Move in

- Move out

- Pre-move out

- Periodic
Those 4 types of Inspections are linked, which means the template you create here will apply to all 4 types of inspections, they cannot be modified individually;

Once you have selected the Repairs and Maintenance Policy on the Unit Level, you will first need to look at the 'Scope' tab'. Here you can select the scope of who this policy will be applied to (ie The entire organization, or building by building).

Next, you can click on 'Policy Details'. Here you can turn on the Automatic creation of Inspections, which will apply to all Inspection types under this policy. In addition, specifically towards move out inspections, you can edit how far in advance the move out inspection will be created (Please note that even if you are creating the inspection 30 days in advance, the inspection date will still align with the end of the lease).

Under the Inspection Objects tab, will see the policy representation of the settings you have previously reviewed. It is composed of what is currently visible in the Inspector App:

- Area Type

- Area: Click HERE to learn how to set up the Inspection Areas in Settings.

- Inspection object: Click HERE to learn how to set up the Inspection Objects in Settings.

For example, we select Room/Bathroom.

Currently, in the Inspector App, in the Room/Bathroom, we can see that those 9 Inspection objects (created in Settings) are included in the Inspector App. If you do not wish for them to be included, you can press the red 'x' and they will be removed.
