There are two areas from which you can create a new inspection:
- through PropertyVista
- through the Inspector App.
Creating inspections in PropertyVista
From the PropertyVista dashboard you will be able to create Unit Inspections, Bulk Unit Inspections or Buildings Inspections.
Unit Inspection:
To create an inspection for a unit will navigate to Maintenance > Unit Inspections > + New Unit Inspection.
From here you will be able to input building and unit information as necessary.
The Inspection date entered will appear within the mobile app as the due date.
Policy Name relates to the type of inspection you are doing, for example 'Repairs and Maintenance' encompasses Move in, Move out, Pre-Move out and periodic inspections while a policy of "Smoke Alarm" just encompasses a smoke alarm inspection.
Repairs and Maintenance policies also require you to choose the lease you are completing the inspection for.
Once you have filled out the required fields you will press "Save" in the top right.
The inspection will now appear within the mobile application for use.
Bulk Unit Inspection:
Within PropertyVista we can create bulk inspections for the units of an entire building or floor. We will navigate to Maintenance > Unit Inspections > + Bulk Inspection Creation
From this window we can specify which building we wish to create inspections for. Additionally we can determine with the associated checkbox whether we want to create inspections for only a specific floor or for the entire building.
Lastly we will select the policy & inspection date for these inspections and press 'ok'.
All of the unit inspections will now appear within the mobile application for use.
Building Inspection:
Within PropertyVista we can create an inspection for a specific building feature. We will navigate to Maintenance > Building Inspections > + New Building Inspection.
From here you will be able to input which building and policy this inspection will be for.
The Inspection date entered will appear within the mobile app as the due date.
Policy Name relates to the type of inspection you are doing. Some policies may require you to specify the feature of the inspection, for example if you select you're doing a "boiler" inspection PropertyVista will prompt you to specify which boiler will be inspect.
Once you have filled out the required fields you will press "Save" in the top right.
The building inspection will now appear within the mobile application for use.
