System-generated Inspections
As part of the Property Vista November 2024 major release, we are making enhancements to optimize the inspection scheduling format for recurring inspections that are configured via the Property Vista CRM. Please Note: These changes will not apply to inspections that are generated as part of the lease-agreement workflow (e.g. Move-in, Move-out inspections, Pre-Move-out inspections, etc.).
Following the November 2024 major release, recurring inspections will be configurable on a time-based approach, which now includes an Inspection Time and allows for multiple inspections to be configured within a day (previously limited to a maximum of once daily).
Impact to Recurring Inspections
Previously, recurring inspections were generated by the system based upon completion/submission of the prior or current month’s inspection. This submission-based logic will be replaced by our new date-based scheduling and recurring inspections will be generated by the system on the date specified going forward.
Navigating to Inspection Scheduling Policies
- Login to the Property Vista CRM and select the gear-shaped Administration menu from the upper-right corner.
- Select the Policies section from the left-navigation menu:
- Select Maintenance & Inspection from the 'Policies' drop-down menu
- Select "Inspection Policies" from the sub-menu
- Select an Inspection Policy to modify (e.g. Snow Log)
- Select the "Scheduling" tab from the top menu, then select the pencil-shaped "Edit" icon:
- Select "Add" to configure a new recurring schedule:
- Configure Recurring Schedule as needed:
- Select Repeat Type (i.e. Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly)
- Input Repeat Every value to indicate frequency of schedule for Type selected (Numeric value, e.g. 1 for once daily)
- Input Time for recurrence (H:MM A format, e.g. 8:00 AM)
- Input Start Date for the recurring series being scheduled (MM/DD/YYYY format, e.g. 12/01/2024)
- Select checkboxes to Suspend Schedule for specific months, as needed (e.g. recurring Snow Log Inspections are disabled from May - October)
- Select checkbox to Suspend Schedule as needed
- Once the Recurring Schedule is configured, select "Save", then select "Save as New Version" from the drop-down menu.
