Highlight Feature
We've added a setting in Leasing Engine Admin that allows properties to display a custom message on the Lease Summary page when no payments are due, either because payments are disabled, or the total due is $0. This helps reduce confusion for applicants. The message can be configured under Settings → Content → Step UI Settings → Sign → Lease Summary. If no custom message is set, a default system message will be shown.
Customer Benefit: This provides clarity for applicants by displaying a clear message when no payments are due, helping reduce confusion and support inquiries during the lease signing process.
Improvements
- Improved the Personal Information section in the Leasing Engine Shop Personal Information page by implementing consistent and user-friendly form validation. This update ensures that required fields cannot be left blank, input formats are properly enforced (e.g., phone, email, SSN/SIN), and clear error messages guide users in real time. These changes reduce submission errors and help ensure accurate and complete applicant information.
- Implemented consistent validation for the optional Vehicle Information section on the Personal Information page in Leasing Engine Shop to ensure clean and properly formatted data when applicants choose to provide vehicle details. This update prevents incomplete or invalid entries, allowing only fully completed and valid vehicle information to be submitted. Applicants can still proceed without entering any vehicle data, maintaining flexibility while ensuring data quality when details are provided.
- Added consistent and dynamic form validation to the Employment and Income section on the Personal Information page in Leasing Engine Shop to improve data accuracy and reduce submission errors. Fields now respond to the selected job type, ensuring that only relevant information is required. Users are guided to complete necessary fields based on their employment status, and error messages clearly indicate any missing or incorrect entries. The update also ensures that a minimum employment history is met before continuing, supporting more reliable financial data collection.
- Added consistent validation to the Emergency Contacts section on the Personal Information page in Leasing Engine Shop to ensure complete and accurate contact information. Users are now required to provide a minimum number of emergency contacts, as determined by the building’s policy. Each contact must include a full name, phone number, relationship, and number type. Optional address fields follow the same formatting rules used elsewhere in the application. This update helps improve data reliability and enhances the overall user experience during application submission.
- Standardized and improved form validation for the Residential History section on the Personal Information page in the Leasing Engine Shop. This update ensures applicants provide the minimum required number of years of residential history (based on configuration), with accurate move-in and move-out dates and no overlapping entries. Prospects are now guided with clear error messages, and the system prevents submission until all required and correctly formatted information is provided, supporting cleaner and more reliable application data.
- Leases uploaded by admin or leasing agents now appear in the counter-sign workflow within the Leasing Engine Admin's Documents section, ensuring the existing multi-party signature process continues as before. Admin users can also download signed leases directly from the system, simplifying lease management.
- A new “Leasing Office Email” field has been added in the Property Setup page within Leasing Engine Admin, allowing teams to specify a leasing office email. The Application Status page in Leasing Engine Shop now shows this contact email instead of a static address, ensuring applicants are directed to the appropriate point of contact for questions or follow-ups improving clarity and communication throughout the application process.
- A new setting is now available to control whether applicants can manually upload bank statements during the verification process. The setting appears under Add On Features > Bank Verification > Manual bank statement upload in the Leasing Engine Admin UI and can be configured at the Organization, State, and Complex/Building levels. When turned off, the manual upload option is removed from the application experience. This allows for more control over how bank verifications are completed, based on client preferences.
- Improved the countersign notification process to ensure leasing managers are notified only when all applicants have signed and, if required, all payments have been completed. This update helps avoid premature notifications and ensures the countersign step happens at the right time in the leasing workflow.
Fixes
- Resolved an issue where co-applicant and guarantor sections in Leasing Engine Admin’s view were incorrectly displaying main applicant details. These sections now show only the information submitted by each individual and remain blank if nothing was provided, ensuring accurate and reliable data visibility across all tabs.
- Corrected a display issue on the Leasing Engine Admin Dashboard where some completed applications were showing “#” instead of the assigned unit number. The unit number now consistently appears for all applications with an assigned unit, ensuring accurate and clear information is visible at a glance.
- Resolved an issue where the Document section in Leasing Engine Admin would occasionally flicker or show an error when accessed by admins or applicants. This was caused by a session error from VeriFast that occurred in certain scenarios, such as before or after payment processing. This fix ensures smoother access to documents and a more stable experience for both admins and users.
- Fixed an issue where the phone type selected for Emergency Contacts during the application process (e.g., Cell, Work, Home) was not displaying correctly in PropertyVista CRM. The phone number now correctly maps to the appropriate field in CRM, ensuring accurate and consistent emergency contact information across systems.
- Resolved an issue where the move-in date shown in the PropertyVista CRM appeared one day earlier than the date selected by the applicant in Leasing Engine. The move-in date now accurately reflects the applicant’s selected date across both systems.
- Corrected an issue that prevented lease agreements from loading when email addresses contained capital letters. Applicants can now open and complete their lease documents without interruption, regardless of how their email is formatted.
