Highlight Feature
A new proration settings feature has been added to the Payments page in Leasing Engine Admin. This allows leasing administrators to configure how rent is prorated based on different methods and rounding preferences. The system automatically updates and displays the prorated rent based on these settings and the lease start date, ensuring accurate rent calculations. These settings are reflected consistently across lease previews and generated documents.
Customer Benefit: Customers gain greater control and accuracy in rent calculations, reducing manual effort and minimizing the risk of errors in lease documentation.
Improvements
- The Documents section (Leasing Engine Admin) now offers a cleaner and more intuitive experience. Fields related to a specific document type will only appear once that type is selected, making it easier to focus on relevant information and reducing unnecessary on-screen clutter.
- Fixed application status page to correctly show applicant as "Complete" once application is submitted for review, resolving previous confusion caused by it showing as "Incomplete" (US flow).
- As part of the previous update to remove redundant fields from the Property Setup page in Leasing Engine Admin, the “Deposit Fee Tax Rate” and “Admin Fee Tax Rate” fields will no longer appear on the property view page. These fields are now fully hidden from both the property edit and view pages, ensuring a cleaner and more consistent user experience.
- We've introduced an improvement when making changes to the pets restriction policy in Leasing Engine Admin. The number of restricted breed pets is now properly limited to the maximum pet allowance for each unit, building, or PMC. This ensures administrators cannot set a number of restricted breed pets that exceeds the overall pet limit. If the limit is exceeded, administrators will be alerted with a validation message and will be unable to save the changes.
- Functionality has been introduced in the Leasing Engine Admin to assign Lease Templates based on policy scopes such as Organization, PMC, Complex, and Building levels. This enhancement allows Property Management Companies to manage lease configurations more efficiently by aligning templates with their organizational structure. The system automatically applies the appropriate lease template during the leasing process based on the defined scope and defaults to the Organization-level lease if no site-specific template is set. Lease agreements are generated with all relevant applicant and signer information and follow the standard signature process.
- To simplify the onboarding process and enhance user privacy, certain personal and sensitive fields such as Date of Birth, Home Phone, Mobile Phone, Work Number, Title, and Description are now optional when creating or editing Admin, Leasing Manager, and Leasing Agent profiles. This change helps reduce delays and hesitation during setup, allowing users to get started faster without feeling pressured to share extra information. Essential fields remain required to ensure proper account setup, while the overall experience is more streamlined and privacy-friendly across all supported browsers.
- Lease templates in Word format can now include placeholders that automatically fill in lease details during PDF generation. This enhancement allows users to streamline document creation with accurate, auto-populated lease information. A preview feature is also available to verify that placeholders appear correctly before sending documents.
- The employment information page in Leasing Engine Shop now shows annual income and additional income amounts in the currency that matches the building’s location. Previously, these amounts were always shown in USD. This change helps applicants see income information in the correct local currency, improving clarity and accuracy during the application process.
- The move-in date selection on the Leasing Engine Shop page has been improved for a more intuitive user experience. Users can now click either the calendar icon or the date field to open the date picker, aligning with common user interface behavior and making the application process smoother.
- A new lease upload functionality was implemented under the Documents tab in Leasing Engine Admin. This supports uploading lease agreements and addendums (Word documents up to 4MB), helping streamline management of site-specific or organization-level lease documents. Uploaded files are visible to applicants during the sign stage, making the lease process more transparent and efficient.
- Several configuration updates were made to enhance flexibility for admins and improve the applicant experience. The SIN/SSN field in the Personal Information step (within Leasing Engine Admin) can now be made optional through a toggle, supporting applicants who may not wish to provide this information. A new toggle was also added to disable the entire Rentable Items step if needed. These updates help reduce application drop-off and allow admins to better tailor the workflow to site-specific needs.
Fixes
- Improvements have been introduced for signature validation for legal clauses containing multiple "Initials" fields. Now, the Submit button will only activate once all required Initials have been signed. This update applies to all user roles (e.g. main applicant, co-applicant, and guarantor). It ensures that every designated signature field is properly completed before submission, improving the accuracy and completeness of signed agreements.
- We’ve improved the loading performance of the Rentable Items page in the Leasing Engine Shop (standalone). The page now loads more quickly and consistently, ensuring applicants can view and select rentable items without delays or disruptions. This enhancement provides a smoother and more reliable leasing experience as part of the overall shopping flow.
- User management experience has been improved by fixing how assigned properties appear when editing a user. Previously, the dropdown didn’t reflect which buildings were already assigned, even though the count was correct, making it difficult to know what was selected. Now, the dropdown shows all previously assigned buildings with checkboxes pre-selected, and the displayed counts are accurate. This update makes reviewing and updating user property access more reliable and efficient.
- Improved the login experience by correcting an issue where the message "Verification Code Has Expired" appeared too early during sign-in or registration from email links. The modal now displays the correct prompts based on where the user is in the process, only showing the expiration message when a code has truly expired. This applies to email login flows for main applicants, co-applicants, and guarantors, ensuring a clearer and more accurate user experience.
- The Privacy Policy and Terms of Use fields in Theme settings are now editable. Administrators can now update the content as needed, and changes will save correctly without errors, making it easier to manage and maintain up-to-date policy information.
- The Property Setup Edit View within Leasing Engine Admin now correctly displays the “Deductibles” field, resolving a previous labeling issue where it appeared incorrectly as a duplicate of “Content Coverages.” This ensures clearer field naming for easier setup and management.
- Improved the Emergency Contacts form under Personal Information page (Leasing Engine Shop) to ensure each contact’s information is entered and updated independently. Previously, filling out details or selecting options for the second contact could mistakenly affect the first contact’s fields. This has now been fixed for a smoother and more accurate form experience.
- Improved the visual alignment in the Policy Settings section. Tab titles now remain consistently positioned when switching between sections, ensuring a cleaner and more polished user interface across all multi-tab policies.
- Resolved issues affecting the editing of Legal Clause documents for Co Applicants. Administrators can now save updates without encountering system errors, and formatting of the applicant type name has been corrected for consistency.
- Addressed an issue in the property setup form in Leasing Engine Admin where clicking on landlord address field labels led to the wrong fields being activated. Labels now correctly focus on the intended landlord-specific fields, ensuring accurate and consistent data entry.
- Filters on the Roles & Rights page now work correctly, allowing Administrators to easily narrow down user roles by property, role, or active status. This improvement ensures accurate and reliable filtering whether using individual filters or multiple filters together.
- Improved floor plan filters on mobile devices for Leasing Engine Shop to ensure the "Reset Filters" button properly clears all selections after saving, and the "Cancel" button correctly discards any changes without applying them. These updates make filter controls more intuitive and reliable.
- The issue has been fixed where signed legal clauses were showing as template versions in Leasing Engine Admin instead of the actual signed documents. Moving forward, legal clauses signed by all applicants (main applicants, co-applicants, and guarantors) during the Sign Phase will display correctly, including signatures and any inputs. This ensures the signed versions are visible, improving accuracy and document management in the system.
- The layout gap involving the "Explanation of Credit History Problems" field in the Applicants tab under the Personal Information section of Leasing Engine Admin has been fixed. The form now displays properly aligned fields for a smoother user experience.
- We resolved an issue where the birthdate entered during the Apply Phase in Leasing Engine Shop showed inconsistently in Leasing Engine Admin. With this update, birthdate information now displays consistently across all platforms ensuring the integrity and accuracy of information.
- We have introduced two improvements to the Social Insurance Number (SIN) field in Leasing Engine Shop to enhance user experience and data accuracy. Key changes include (1) Original SIN value is displayed instead of unclear or scrambled masked data, after form submission. (2) Empty SIN fields no longer show misleading placeholder characters. Additionally, validation has been improved to prevent incorrect completion status when the SIN information is missing or invalid.
- We resolved an issue where updates made during application reactivation such as lease term, move-in date, and unit number, were not correctly reflected in the Application Information page within Leasing Engine Admin or in the email notifications sent to applicants. With this fix, any changes made after reactivating an application will now display accurately in both the admin portal and applicant emails, ensuring consistency and reducing confusion.
- We fixed an issue where some monetary values in the Leasing Engine Admin, Leasing Engine Shop, PDF documents, and quote emails were displaying with only one decimal place or none at all. All pricing and amount fields now show exactly two decimal places, regardless of whether the value is a whole number. This update applies across all currencies and locales (e.g., USD, CAD), ensuring pricing is presented clearly and consistently throughout the platform.
- The footer in the Leasing Engine standard email template has been updated to prevent broken or missing images from showing, ensuring emails display correctly across all communications.
