To create a new broadcast navigate to Message Centre -> Broadcast Templates -> Select 'Custom' to create a brand-new template. You may select 'Default' to use an existing template.
To create a brand-new custom template, select 'New Broadcast Template' and specify the following: Name / Audience Type / Delivery Method.

Audience Type | Select from the dropdown options - Who this broadcast will be targeted towards. |

Specify the broadcast delivery method.
InBox - the message is delivered to Resident Portal inbox. The recipient will also get an email alert notifying about the received message, unless the tenant is not subscribed to the Communication Category.
Voice Message - the message is delivered to resident's home or mobile phone number, read by a text-to-speech voice. If a resident is not subscribed to the Communication Category then a fallback is sent to InBox instead.
Text Message - the message is delivered to resident's mobile phone number. If a resident is not subscribed to the Communication Category then a fallback is sent to InBox instead.
Notification - the message appears as a notification in the tenant's Resident Portal. |
Once you have created the initial structure, you may proceed with building and customizing the actual template as required. You will be prompted to complete the following fields - Once complete, press 'Save':
Allowed Reply | Check this box off if you would like to allow recipients to reply to this broadcast. |
Category | Select the applicable communications category from the dropdown. |
Filter | Apply applicable broadcast filters here. Learn more about broadcast filtering here. |
Subject | Enter the broadcast subject line here. |

This is where your broadcast verbiage will lie.
Customize your text as required - Through the 'Format' and 'Font' options.
Include links, images, and variables (learn more about content variables here) to the body of the text - Through the 'Insert' option.
To add an image, enter an Image URL - Note, the image will only show if the image is hosted somewhere. I.e., you may link an image from your website - The image will then be embedded into the broadcast message. |
