October 2024 Monthly Product Updates - Property Vista

PV CRM

Highlight Feature

We have introduced Amenity Booking in our CRM, designed to streamline the management of property amenities. This feature allows property management employees to efficiently manage tenant requests for amenity bookings directly within the CRM.

New Features: We are pleased to introduce the new Amenity Booking Calendar View in our CRM. This feature provides property management employees with a convenient, integrated calendar to view and manage tenant reservations and bookings for amenities.

Known Issues: In the current release of the new feature, below are a few fields that are not fully scaled and will not function as intended as part of October release. These fields should be kept unchecked or Blank as adding values will not give the required results:

  • Available Online
  • Complex Availability
  • Auto-approve
  • Cancel after approval
  • Cancel Existing reservations

PV Accounting

Highlight Feature

Vista now syncs security deposits from Yardi Voyager. These deposits will show on the Deposits tab of a lease in Vista. The deposits will also appear on a unit Inspection and Inspector app, so when doing an inspection a user can quickly identify the amount of deposit a tenant has paid. For a deposit to appear in Vista, there has to be a Voyager AR code mapping with the Deposit Security code type in Vista. Pet Deposits are not yet being synced. We are working on syncing Pet Deposits for the November release.

To accurately populate the deposits in Vista, the Voyager charge codes which update the deposits, have to be mapped to the Vista AR Codes of type Deposit Security. Many Voyager codes can be mapped to a single Vista code. This mapping is done under the Admin menu > Financial > AR Codes tab, by editing the code and adding the Voyager codes.

Known Issue: The deposits on the Rent Roll report are not showing correctly after this update. The accurate deposit amounts will show on each lease.

New Features

Users are now able to run a comparison type report, or as per the official name Last Year Delta. The new report type can be generated from the Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Trial Balance. Prior to generating this report, a reporting period must be first selected. The report shows a current value for each GL account, a value for the same time last year, a $ variance between current - last year and a percentage variance. This report will assist users to easily compare current health of operations per GL account, with those of last year, so any anomalies or poor performance can be easily identified.

Users are now able to create charge batches, differently from the current Lease Adjustment Batches functionality. The current functionality allows the creation of batch charges with the same amount. The new feature will allow the creation of batch charges with different amounts, and allow for uploading of the charges through a template, greatly facilitating the creation of charges in mass, as a benefit to operations.

Minor updates were made to the Tenant Portal (and app), to show more accurate billing and payments information, and to make navigation easier.

Improvements

In this release we resolved an issue where Expenses paid by credits were showing as unpaid on the Aged AP report, where in fact they were paid by Vendor Credits.
