Action Required to Maintain Your Custom Email Functionality ( Property Vista )

What's Happening?

Google and Yahoo have recently updated their email security policies (read more here). These changes are critical for anyone using custom domains for email purposes, and they require immediate attention to ensure uninterrupted service.

What Do You Need to Do?

If you’re not using the custom domain features in PropertyVista, there is no further action required.

If you are using a custom domain, and wish to comply with these new standards and continue using your own email domain without any disruption, you’ll need to update your DNS settings by adding a few records. This is essential to pass the enhanced security checks.

(Your DNS settings are usually located in the website where you bought your domain from - for example, GoDaddy.com)

Step-by-Step Guide:

Deadline:

It's crucial to make these changes before February 1, 2024. Failing to do so means your Property Vista configuration will be reset and emails will then be sent from no-reply@my-community.ca instead of your custom domain. This is not ideal, but it ensures your email communication remains uninterrupted. Once you update your DNS records, you can revert to your original settings.
