One very common question is around importing/exporting data when a Property exchanges hands. In order to facilitate data transfer from current Property Vista customers we enabled an EXPORT/IMPORT function that allows for the majority of the data to be transferred, including Pre-Authorized payment information so the current residents do not have to re-enter the information again (assuming you have the legal permission to maintain your pre-authorized payment agreement).
For the company that is SELLING the property:
Go to PROPERTIES-->BUILDINGS--> SELECT THE PROPERTY IN QUESTION
Click on ACTIONS--> EXPORT BUILDING DATA and SEND that file to the new owner of the Property
Once the property is SOLD ensure you SUSPEND the building to ensure no further payments are permitted to this account.
For the Company that is BUYING the Property:
Go to PROPERTIES-->BUILDINGS--> SELECT THE PROPERTY IN QUESTION
Click on ACTIONS--> IMPORT BUILDING DATA and select the file that was mailed to you from the previous owner.
All payment data and other miscellaneous information has now been imported.
VERY IMPORTANT: PLEASE ENSURE THE EXPORT/IMPORT HAPPEN ON THE SAME DAY.
NOTE: All Residents will be emailed automatically upon IMPORT to advise them of the new changes.
IMPORTANT FOR CANADIAN CUSTOMERS: If the previous property owner used DIRECT BANKING it is vital to inform your residents that they will need to change their DIRECT BANKING account information to match their new account information for the new owner. Failure to do so will result in payments not being applied.
