Time to decide which option to choose!

NEW LEASE

A New Lease in Property Vista is meant to be used when entering a lease with a FUTURE date. Example: It is now June & I need to enter a lease with a start date of July 1.

TIPS for Success:

1. When entering a New Lease you will only be able to select the unit if the units scope has been set to "Available"

To find out more on changing the scope to available click HERE

2. New Leases should always have a NEW deposit

CURRENT LEASE

A Current Lease in Property Vista is meant to be used when entering a lease with a PAST date. Example: It is now June 15 & I need to enter a lease with a start date of June 1.

TIPS for Success:

1. When entering a New Lease you will only be able to select the unit if the units scope has been set to "Pending"

To find out more on changing the scope to available click HERE

2. If entering a current lease the system will always add a LEGACY Deposit. If entering a Current lease late (rather than on initial migration of data) you should add the deposit AFTER activation to show the deposit charge on the account.
